Review: Needed a small lamp to light up area of a room, and to utilize some Hue bulbs I have, but unbeknownst to me at purchase, it requires the E12 bulb, which I don't have at home. The cheaper cost isn't worth the extra hassle and expense of a special smaller bulb.

Wish Ikea lamps made it clearer which bulbs are needed, either included in the product description on display pieces, or not hidden in small font on the bottom of packaging.

Review: I too, purchased this lamp with the understanding it had a bulb included...signage indicated it did!!! Brought it home, and no bulb. After reading the reviews, it seems the issue is that CALIFORNIA only gets a lamp with a bulb in stores! it doesn't even ADVERTISE the lamp without a bulb!! NOR does it NAME the bulb! this website shows 5 different E12 450 lumen bulbs!! Are we to GUESS which one fits the Svallet???? How bout some help guys?!!
Well...Now I have to either pay shipping fees and pray the one I pick fits... or drive 40 minutes to my local Ikea for a stupid bulb. Both are not even remotely doable at this point. Very disappointed, as this is the PERFECT lamp for my small desk area. As it is, it sits sad and empty, waiting to light up, until I can head out there again in a couple months. Rating it for appearace, etc. Can't tell how it works yet. Will get back to you in a few months when I get a stupid light bulb! Ugh.
