We have used them in a few locations and they work well with our American outlets. They sit very flush with the outlet and are really hard to remove which is how you want them to work.

Review: Plug guards are easy to install and difficult to defeat; all the things you look for in a child-safe guard. Removal is a bit tricky with the red key. The theory behind the red key to remove the guard is sound, but sometimes it doesn't want to lock on to the guard solidly enough to pull both out.
