Review: I bought two. One is perfect, I love everything about it. The second is a complete mess. A door is beveled, one side of the bookcase can not be tightened, the back has a misshapen fold on the part you see and it runs top to bottom plus I have the doors level to each other but the knobs do not line up. My IKEA store is too far to take this all apart and bring it back so I am stuck with it. My review is for the problem bookcase.

I decided to change out all open (no doors) book cases, entertainment center and kitchen hutch to items with a glass door(s) and found the Billy at IKEA and thought the style would be perfect. I just finished putting the 3rd one together and I’m overjoyed with the look. Also, great experience buying online and having them delivered. Delivery was on time and boxes neatly stacked in front of my garage.

Review: Looks terrific. Easy to put together - alone, I got it together in under an hour. Holds more than I expected. The back panel is quite flimsy and has a center line all the way down so I'm going to wallpaper the back. I switched out knobs with a polished nickel pair that I had. For the people who are bummed that the hole for the knobs don't go all the way through on the front, there's a great reason for that: it gives you the option to add 2 hole handles for a completely different look. I appreciate that ;)

Review: The bookcases hold an amazing amount, and have really streamlined my room. The gray metallic finish goes nicely with my white walls. They seem very sturdy. My only complaint would be the paper thin backing. It's very difficult to work with, but should hold up because it's flush with the wall. Overall, a great choice.
