Review title: Beautiful product with lots of rough edges.

Review: I want to like this product, but it has a lot of questionable design decisions. First, it is stackable, but they don't include something like a rubber mount to preserve the paint job. Second, the metal is flimsy including metal tabs that you have to pull into place. This makes the locking mechanism questionable. Third, the paint wears when in direct sunlight. It's a beautiful color but at the end of the day it's just a locker.

Pragmatically, do I like that the shelving is adjustable which I wasn't expecting.

Oh, and IKEA is famous for their no-language instructions, and this product has the worst assembly instructions of any IKEA I've ever assembled.

Review: This was the only cabinet I could find for outdoor use that wasn’t over $400, but of course you get what you pay for. I appreciated the warnings in other reviews about being careful to keep the back and sides separate during assembly. It still took a really long time to get it assembled. But what absolutely drives my blood pressure through the roof is the way the doors are designed. They use an L-shaped pin that slides through a brace on the top and bottom, and then into a hole in the cabinet frame. Any slight movement of a door will cause the top pin to fall out. Sometimes it falls out on the ground, and I have to search for it. Sometimes, it falls into the cabinet. And it never fails—if this happens with one door, once I secure the pin back in place and open the other door, it happens with that one too. I’m going to try taping them in place, but I’m too frustrated by putting them back on over and over again. Invest in something that wasn’t designed on the cheap.

Review: I put two green cabinets next to a green work table on the back patio to store gardening tools, plant pots, fertilizer, pesticides, hummingbird feeder syrup....etc. They look wonderful on the red pavers, and provide easy access.
Assembling is easy, the only issue is holes for front door hinges are too small that need to re-drill. The instructions would be better if add more details. The metal is not of heavy industrial quality, but is perfect for my needs. It is definitely a bargain for the price.

However. HOWEVER.

Putting this thing together was insane.

Let me bolster the previous statement by assuring you that I'm a furniture assembling pro. I used to work for Crate&Barrel, and I work for a potter whose studio furniture of choice is Ikea. I'm saying that so you know how much furniture I've assembled in my brief stint on this planet. I think Ikea's assembly designs are brilliant, way better than their competitors most of the time.

But this cabinet gave me a run for my money, folks. The back pieces and side pieces are easy to get mixed up and you might find yourself crying and tearing it apart after realizing (ok I didn't cry but I did go full angry dad mode).

Anyway, just be careful. It's a cool piece that will test your patience. Sorta like raising a good kid.

Only wish that it maybe had magnets to hold the doors closed (although thus far we have not had any issues with them opening). We also already have an outdoor table in the same finish, so it was a good addition.

Review: I bought two of these for an outdoor kitchen area. The first went together quickly without any issues. The second one had misaligned holes in the top piece which resulted in striped bolts while tightening. I had to run to the hardware store to pick up higher-quality hex bolts to finish the construction.

I anticipated a smooth, slightly shiny finish on these for durability, instead, it's more like a metal filing cabinet. While these don't claim to be waterproof, I figured they'd be ok on a covered patio. After the first rainstorm, there was somehow water inside the cabinets. I would recommend interior plastic bins if you plan to store anything that should not get wet.

Overall, I'm happy with the purchase as there was nothing else at a similar price point that worked for my outdoor storage needs. I use a carabiner as a dummy lock to keep the doors shut, but I like that a lock could be used too.

Review: This was out of stock forever so when there was one in the store I rushed over to get it. It's very nice assembled. One suggestion is to mark which panels are the back and which are the side because they are very similar (sides are slightly narrower). I incorrectly attached the back instead of the sides and had to start over putting it together. But the finished cabinet is lovely. Love the color and finish.
