Review: I bought this knife even though it was more expensive, mainly because of the handle. I thought the hard, nailed handle would last longer and be nicer to hold in my hand compared to the plastic handle that didn't seem like a full-length handle towards the end of it. This knife is real sharp and it's kind of heavy. I believe that's a good thing for a knife since the weight helps the blade to cut through whatever you're cutting. Knives do take maintenance, so I'm hoping to make it last a long time. I do like chopping with it and feel I'm doing a better job now with the new knife.

Review: I wanted to find a knife that was a bit of an improvement over our existing stab at a French chef's knife...thin flimsy blade weak hollow handle with rusting rivets. This knife was truly surprising. Stout, rigid blade with a good heft to it, sharp and holds an edge. I had forgotten what a pleasure it is to use a decent knife for kitchen chores! At this point, nothing else get used for cutting jobs, despite having 8 different sizes.

Review: I bought this after buying a similar style steak knives that I loved. This chefs knife is my favorite kitchen knife. It's hefty and sharp so most of the time I barely have to put weight behind it. The full tang is thick and helps balance the knife for a good feel when I use it. I will be buying more like this.

Review: Great knife, my only complaint is that it's much sharper than other brands (even the higher end ones) of knives I've had. Makes cutting awesome, but unfortunately my fingers take a beating as well. I like it enough that I'm going to return to buy a complete set.
