The kitchen island has a pull-out drawer which closes softly and quietly thanks to its soft-closing function.
You can store anything from cutlery and napkins to laptops and pens in the generous drawer beneath the countertop.
Countertop with a thick oak veneer, a durable natural material that can be sanded and surface treated when required.
For quick installation and easy maintenance the countertop is pre-treated with hard wax oil.
Layer construction adds stability and makes the countertop less sensitive to humidity, thus, less likely to bend, split or crack than solid wood.
The countertop has an end-grain design that gives it a rustic charm that complements traditional kitchen styles. The expression is enhanced by design on the edges.

CareWipe clean with a dry cloth.

To ensure that your countertop ages gracefully, treat it regularly with STOCKARYD wood treatment oil; it gives the surface a beautiful sheen, protects the wood and prolongs the life of the countertop.

Review: While this island is really pretty, it was a nightmare to assemble. The frame didn't fit together properly, and the drawer barely comes in and out of its spot. Also, the towel bar wasn't cut on the inside, so the screws couldn't screw into place. I had to buy a separate cabinet pull off Amazon in its place.

Review: We purchased this for a throw table for the grandkids to drop their backpacks/bags when visiting. They don't really use the closets so we wanted something very stable that could take a little abuse on the top. I know it's a kitchen piece but it looks great in the small niche that we set it in and the butcher block top will take some use just fine. If needed I can sand it some years down the road. The structure is solid.

Review: We got this to complete a kitchen remodel where we wanted a center island that could easier be moved if needed. This fit the bill. Price was right. Assembly was pretty easy except I can’t get the drawer to completely close. It just sticks out a little bit but still under the counter overhang so I am not going to worry about it. So far the top has not had any issues and we use it extensively.

Review: The seams in the butcher block top cracked within a month of use, after room temperature water spilled on it. Cracks continue to happen/worsen. It's not a solid butcher block piece either- it's some sort of compilation of laminated or bamboo pieces glued to the outside of a counter top to appear to be a butcher block top.

Review: I like the clean lines of this island unit which make it attractive, but it's somewhat impractical as I store my pots and pans underneath, and the lack of overhang on the top leads to crumbs landing on the shelves underneath. The towel bar is really convenient; however it would be super cool if I could have mounted it on teh other side as that's the side of my kitchen that gets sun which would dry the towels much more quickly. I think it was possible to mount on teh opposite side, I just didn't realize that when building it. The drawer is a really great feature and I use it a lot for all the items I use like knives, baker's scale, and extra towels when I I am cooking.
