Review title: not leveled, too hard
Customer: Julia G.
Review: It's such a shame that IKEA would sell a product like this. When it's a bed, one side is more elevated than the other. And it's too stiff. A waste of money.

Review title: Clean Scandi lines, comfort , value
Customer: julie
Review: Construction is very sturdy, feels very solid to sit and sleep on. Transition between couch and bed is so simple. Perfect for small spaces. Great as a bed if you need a firm sleeping surface. Great value for the price. Great choice for me.

Review: It’s good if you just need something for a short time but this definitely is super still and not meant for comfort.

Review title: We actually bought this in
Customer: PAM
Review: We actually bought this in the AS IS section...it was the floor model. It is good quality for the price I paid. It lays flat and resets as a couch very easily. I gave it a 4 instead of 5 on quality just because it is firm and not the most cushy comfortable couch...however it might break in. Also note we DID NOT assemble this as it was the floor model, but the review made me put stars in so...

Review title: TERRIBLE, defective or deceptive padding
Customer: ALEZAH T.
Review: I tested extensively in store; it was comfortable to sit/lie on. Finally received it months later & didn't seem quite as remembered. I sit on it daily & the cushion is VERY thin; if sitting for long I put a pillow under me bc it's so unpadded. Recently had to sleep on it - AWFUL, even w a thick mattress topper added. Could feel the metal frame, had to squish to one side of a very narrow bed to avoid lying on the central metal rod. Guess I made a poor choice, and this is just what you get for $250 - a crappy item that's basically disposable... But I recently returned to store & lay on it again -- their sample is indeed well-padded and comfortable!! So I either got a defective sofa, or their sample is deliberately, deceptively, different from what they actually give you! It's too late to return, so I'm stuck w it, and I continue to sit here daily, uncomfortable and annoyed that I didn't get what I paid for. IKEA, do better! I'm unlikely to buy furniture at IKEA again after this.

Review title: Awesome Futon Couch
Customer: Alexis
Review: This product was actually more narrow than I imagined it to be when it’s folded up in couch position. That’s probably one of my only criticisms is that I wish the seat depth was a little bit bigger. I also wish there was an arm rest option. My parents used it when they came to visit and they said it’s really comfortable to sleep on and they were both able to fit on it. It’s very user friendly when you change it from couch to bed position or vice versa. All in all, we’re really happy with this purchase.

Review title: Cushioning didn't hold up
Customer: maria s.
Review: Bought for son's studio apt. Never used it as a bed for guests or slept in it because he has a regular bed but used it every day for two years to watch TV when he comes home from work. The two ends where he sits, the cushioning didnt hold up and there are dents in that area where he sits and he can feel the hard frame. He only weights 130 lbs - I feel it should have lasted longer. Probably OK for a spare room for sleepovers but not great to use in a small apartment where you only have this one futon to sit in.

Review title: Balkarp Review
Customer: Arielle
Review: I'm using it as a bed and as a sofa. The sofa part is fine but the part where you sit is very narrow. When it folds down into a bed, there is a very hard part in the middle where the seam is, and it makes sleeping on it very very very uncomfortable.

Review title: Good narrow sitting chair. Not a good bed
Customer: STEVEN
Review: Foam feels very hard and corse. I returned it. My feeling was that it may not last more than a few months before concaving. Ok if you need an inexpensive short term couch-bed, but not long term furniture (not even for IKEA).

Review title: Works well. Wish it had more recline options
Customer: Michael
Review: I really like it. It is firm but comfortable. Wish the recline function had more options, it is a little too extreme.

Review title: Suits our need perfectly

Review: We needed a small futon for a small space. We really like how it fits into our room. It was very easy to assemble. I only wish it came in other colors than black.

Review title: The price is just too
Customer: MICHELLE
Review: The price is just too expensive for this simple futon.

Review title: not comfortable
Customer: Yanqi J.
Review: As a sofa, it's too short in width and too short in height. So my legs feel uncomfortable when sitting on it. When as a bed, it is worse. You can clearly feel the frame in the middle which makes your back ache. So you can only sleep on half of it. I am going to throw it away.

Review title: Uncomfortable
Customer: balaji g.
Review: Got this delivered next day after I ordered. The futon depth is not enough its like sitting on the edge of the seat. Instead of sitting on it, its better to expand and sleep on it. Not satisfied and pickup for return is expensive as well. So check in person before you buy online.
