Review: The remote and switch work great by themselves, but has very poor integration with the gateway as it can never detect and pair it. I finally got it paired once after 2 hours of trying. The app stuck in an ungrouped category and won't let me control it. Thankfully it works via Homekit.

Review: I made an old entertainment unit over and needed some lights to spiffy it up a bit. I used this control and plugged in 6 lights. Even thiugh it is behind the unit I can easily use the remote to turn them all on and off. I plugged all 6 into an extension strip and the strip into the control which goes on the outlet. I installed them all myself! Great product!!

Review: This remote ON/OFF switch does exactly what I need it to do and the remote matches the others I have that control Tradfri lights. Note that the outlet is ON or OFF and does not dim. My only criticism is that it is slightly bulky; I did not take it apart, but it seems like the outer case is larger than it needs to be.

Review: My quest to find a product like this started with laziness... I didn't want to run around the house and dive behind furniture to turn on or plug in lights every day. I did several online searches, and most of what I found that would manipulate power supply remotely involved a full smart-home setup with either Google or Alexa. I didn't want this level of connectivity, and also I wanted a switch rather than voice activation. I finally asked my brother (an electrical engineer) if there were any options where I could basically just have a remote switch, and he pointed me to Ikea. I'm so glad I found this! I have a few throughout my house where just a single switch is linked to a single plug, and even that is so incredibly convenient. It was particularly handy during Christmas, so I could turn on lights from a switch in the kitchen, rather than diving behind the tree each time.

Review: I own four of these kits and I am planning on getting a few more. They are convenient and easy to set up--I have pretty much every lamp in my house hooked up to one of these. One thing that I found through research online is that you can group multiple outlets with the same remote--so I have all the lamps in my living room as a group, and then multiple switches at various convenient locations around the room to turn them all off or on at the same time. I would really recommend checking out Reddit for lots of tips for these. I love the convenience of not having to walk around to switch each lamp individually, and it's so much easier than having to dig for the cord behind the table to operate the inline switches.

Review: I bought this to control a humidifier in my bedroom. I already have several Tradfri lightbulbs and a gateway, so adding the switch and outlet was easy. It’s too bad that HomeKit isn’t supported yet, but I’m told that will be coming along shortly. Even without it, the switch and smartphone control works like a charm (and I am already using the programmed scheduling on/off features).

Review: I bought this a couple of weeks ago and use it for all my 'cozy' lighting like fairy lights, micro lights etc... setting it up is a breeze and super fast if you do it in the right order (pair the steering device first). I have two groups of three light sources. One has lights in three separate rooms and it is more than 11 yards and there are walls in-between, but it works great. It is like magic - a little touch and voilá, cozy lights are on. Even better is that I can control it from the app as well. I just leave the lights on and turn them off when I am going to bed. The only downfall is that this is missing integration into Apple Homekit, so I cannot just say 'Hey Siri - turn off cozy lighting' or add it to the schedules which I control from the home kit. This is an issue with a lot of smart home technology, so it is not a deal breaker for me, but I would love to control everything from one app.
