You can turn the warm light that spreads from the back of the clock on and off as needed.
Time is displayed in a different way – the large dot shows hours and the smaller one shows minutes.
The clock is operated by using the included USB cable that connects to the power outlet via a device with a USB port or via a USB power adapter (sold separately).
By completing with batteries, the clock's memory is activated in the event of a power outage and automatically sets the correct time as soon as the power supply is restored.
Can be used hanging or standing to fit in the space available.

Batteries are sold separately. IKEA recommends LADDA rechargeable battery HR03 AAA 1.2V. 3 pieces required.
If the small dot in the center of the clock flashes, the batteries need to be charged or replaced.

Review title: infuriatingly poor use design choices

Review: I need to hear from the product designer(s), how in 2022, a wall clock that ONLY works when PLUGGED IN, is a good idea.
It's beyond comprehension, that a digital wall clock, with a THREE AAA battery bay, cannot be run on battery alone. Ok, perhaps the digital display requires more power for reasonable runtime. Then perhaps the display type should be reconsidered for a lower power consuming alternative? Like really, a dangling wire is their idea of a designer product?
And that 'touch control' for the rear-facing ambient light. First, if it's a wall clock, what makes placing the on/off switch at 12-o-clock top-dead-center, you know, the highest, most unreachable part of the clock, a smart decision? How about placing it at 5 or 7, where it's more accessible? Or better yet, how about an ambient light sensor to auto-on/off/adjust brightness?
TL;DR: a gorgeous digital wall clock, if you don't mind a wire and its shadow dangling from such a beautiful piece of home decor.
