Materials & care
Material

CareClean: Use a mild soapy solution. Wipe dry with a clean dry cloth.
Maintenance: To prevent the surface from drying out and cracking, and moisture from penetrating into the wood, we recommend you to re-stain the furniture on a regular basis, for example once or twice a year.

Review: The wood and stain are good, but the technical assembly is poor when it comes to the major weight bearing joints(just 4 small dowels). This has been advertised online as working with the Koljberg shelves and the holes do not match up. Warning, if you drill a hole to properly secure it as shown in pic, you can not return it, even if it is flimsy. This should have been designed to hold small hanging pots. Terrible design of a nice finished wood product. Will have to buy stuff at home depot to fix the design flaw

Review: This item comes in two pieces and is only connected by two, very, small dowels. BEWARE: the instructions specify that this item requires it be screwed into a wall in order to be sturdy. I will plan to purchase some hardware to make it sturdier on its backside. That is my only complaint. It is a beautiful piece to accompany the other Applaro items.

Review: I was able to add a large flat metal plate on the back on each side to add support, then I added a 5 foot treated 1 x 2 board, screwed in on both sides, to add additional support. About $75 to $100 to do this to the 4 I bought. Then Screwed them into the bench part from inside and the outside for added support and stability.

Review: Comes in 2 pieces which connect by dowels - very loose and do not keep the panels flat as the area that they connect are mitered so when fitted together they bend. I guess if I were screwing it into a wall (no screws are included) It would be straight but I am leaning it against a window in a patio room and had to attach flat metal brackets on the back. Good wood and staining but don’t understand why it was made in 2 pieces

Review: We bought these wall panels along with the matching benches. We wanted to put them in front of our air conditioning units for a better view. These work great because they allow the hot air in the AC units to escape. The only issue is they need to be attached to a wall. We ended up just using the upper portion and screwing it to the bench so that it stands alone without the need of a wall. We are also using the benches as planters instead of benches. They look great!
