A beautiful, functional desk with lots of room on the tabletop and in the 10 drawers. If you ever need to replace the tabletop it is very easy and the cost is extremely reasonable. The desk comes in several color combinations to choose from which makes it easy to match your room decor. This is an excellent desk for students or those looking for a home office setup.
I am very happy with this purchase and decided to buy another desk for my wife too. Kudos to the IKEA team once again! Your ingenuity on how you build products rocks!

The instructions are so poorly descriptive it’s honestly impressive how little information they care to share with the customer who purchased their product. The quality of materials is atrocious. So many planks had chunks just hanging off. The alignment of pre-drilled holes was off. I do not understand how a company this big can be so bad. You get what you pay for and I learned my lesson.

Review: As an office desk, it the perfect size, beautiful style and more drawers than I can fill. Super easy to put together also. I'm a retired senior citizen and had no trouble at all managing the pieces. Highly recommend getting the rollers (search Alex rollers) for easy movement but be wary of the section of the product description called You Might Like which gives the impression that the Kuggis drawer organizers go with this set. They don't. I ordered two of them and found that they're far too large to fit the Alex drawers, or any other drawers in my house for that matter. Also, it would be nice if the product information provided how much weight the Lagkapten table will bear. I had originally wanted to use this as a sewing console but after I put it together, I didn't think the table would bear the weight of my Husqvarna sewing machine. The table itself is light weight for its size and feel that over time, the weight of the machine will bow the table. So, I'm using it as an office desk.
