Review: I got this weeks ago, had been looking forward to assembling it. I've had the Poang chair at least twice before. Tonight I finally opened the box to assemble, and one of the slats for the back is broken where the screw hardware was inserted at the factory (the point where you join it w/another piece); the wood around the screw is splintering badly. I knew I'd have to return it because of that one defective piece, but I checked the other three slats and ALL of them show signs of weakness/splintering at the same spot. Very disappointed, now I no longer have confidence in the quality of this product. Ikea you need to fix this issue.

We were told the third part would be available in a week but still waiting. I don't think IKEA should advise people to buy the parts available when they don't have an actual date for the arrival of the missing part. Thank goodness we picked up two chairs to tide us over.

Review: It's a classic, manufactured since the Seventies, and still going strong (we're to believe). This chair is only likeable to me, not great. The black cushion is too thin for real comfort, and has no head/neck support at all. What was I thinking? The arms are too hard for any comfort at all and needed to be padded with after market foam. I don't hate it, but I'm actually thinking of selling it and getting something different. All in all I'd have to say this chair looks good and promises something special, but it disappoints. And to top it off, Ikea insults its customers by charging almost as much for the better (?) cushions as for this chair with cushion, so replacing (improving?) the cushion makes no sense at all either.
I guess I'd have to say I'm disappointed overall with this entire Ikea experience. I won't be rushing back for more.
