Different wall materials require different types of fasteners. Use fasteners suitable for the walls in your home.
If you choose the soft closing function for your BESTÅ, we recommend complementing the fronts with knobs/handles to make the drawers/cabinets more convenient to open.

Review: The storage closet is a life saver. I bought this piece base on the reviews. It hold everything. The inside is big enough to hold my kids books and games. I usually put together items I purchased from ikea. Again base off the reviews I just paid a little extra an hire Taskrabbit. He was done in 2 1/2 hours. If you have small kids I do suggest you anchor it to the wall.

Review title: Major Issue with Backing Piece!

Review: Big, Big problem with installation of the board @ the back of the cabinet. It took my wife & I the entire day to put together (3) frames! Have never been so frustrated with something that could have been made to work easier. The instructions on how the backing inserts into the slotted area of the sides & top are inaccurate. The backing is too flimsy to slide in & hold as shown, almost near impossible. Plus, the design of the slotted lines are boxed in all four sides, another words, you cannot slide in the back w/out having all 4 sides assembled. Also, the slots are too tight for the backing to fit. This is a design & manufacturing issue. I would not advise purchasing this product until a design change is made to this part of the assembly process. Otherwise, after we finally got it together it looked & worked as expected.

Review: I have to agree with other reviewers. I followed the directions, made sure thing were aligned to the pre-drilled holes, and the Besta cabinet still doesnt align properly. It tilts up at a slant, so all the interior shelves are slanted as well. From far away you cant tell, but when you are close up, you can tell by looking at the shelf alignment is skewed, because the doors align properly. For the high cost, I would NOT recommend it.

Review: I purchased 2 of these to add to a Besta cabinet purchased 6 yrs ago. The quality is flimsy and cabinet wobbly making it difficult to level the doors. There is no structure in the middle to help shore up and align side panels. They push out when screwing in doors. Doors are heavier than sides and difficult to align properly. Had to buy angle brackets to attach shelves to sides so it didn’t bow out in the middle. Not the quality of the one I purchased 6 yrs ago.

Review: Let me first say, I am a frequent IKEA customer. I know the quality to expect, particle board, not five star furniture in a sense but very stylish. This storage combination is by far the worst piece of furniture I have ever put together from IKEA. For $400 I expected a little more stability. The whole 'system' is lightweight and shaky, wouldn't be surprised if this is on the recall list soon due to a falling over hazard. Although it's light as a feather! The doors do not line up, because the pre drilled holes are crooked. Try drilling your own and you may split the extremly thin particle board. The only thing I like about it is the walnut effect color, it looks very realistic and pretty. But unfortunalty the focus is on the uneven doors. Also, IKEA instruction guides have always been bad, but again - the WORST IKEA experience putting something together I have ever had. And I consider myself quite handy, all the necessary tools, 2 adults, etc. Unless you are ready to be unsatissfied for $400, don't waste your time

Because of Covid-19 the delivery people didn't wait for us to check all the pieces. Neither the delivery company nor IKEA will call us back. Lucky my credit card company is fighting this for me.
