Review: I love the look of the floating vanity in my small bath. It serves as both a guest and master. The storage is phenomenal. I was able to eliminate a medicine cabinet for a more modern look. I wanted more counter space than the IKEA coordinating tops offered, so I had a local granite shop make me a top from a quartz remnant and bought a ceramic under mount sink from Amazon. Looks amazing. My contractor had to make a small cutout in the back of the top drawer to get the pipe to fit correctly - I think because the sink was deeper than the IKEA one. I bought the coordinating pipe piece - and it works beautifully to make full use of the top drawer. Also bought the coordinating Godmorgon storage units for the drawers! Love !

Review title: Terrible drain design leads to constant clogs

Review: Love the look of this vanity and the storage from the drawers, but functionally, it is a nightmare. Because there is a 90 degree bend basically half an inch from the drain, water just sits in there and any little thing will clog it. The cage on top of the drain makes it impossible to clean.
Our plumber was hesitant to install this, saying that he thought it would clog a lot, but we had already purchased everything, so we decided to go ahead. We should have listened to him! This sink was a constant nightmare. I say was because less than two years after having it installed, we're replacing it with a better vanity and sink.
I could see this not being a problem in a guest bath or powder room where the sink is not used that often, but in a primary bathroom, no way.
I love Ikea design and am so happy with many of their products, but definitely not this one. AVOID!

Review: I bought this style several years ago in the ebony brown color. I loved it and decided to put the same vanity in a half bath we just finished. The one I bought several years ago was solid wood. I was disappointed with the quality of this one especially for the price. I don’t think this one with the wrapped foil over pressboard looks good nor do I think it’s worth the money. Sadly, I’m very disappointed!

Had very limited space so this vanity gave me the critical storage I needed in a small vanity.
Negative side - my contractor resisted this product and different plumbing setup. I hear that this is common because it is a different pipe alignment to allow the larger drawers. Spoke to ikea rep at store and she gave me our State code approval info to refute charge of not up to code. Thankfully the plumber was experienced with ikea plumbing modifications and did it just fine. Works great. So watch out for unnecessary resistance
And make sure everything is level and checked at each stage
