I am 65 and did this myself with help only when it came to lifting. Just be patient, read the directions, and organize your pieces then you will have no problem. Good luck and enjoy the compliments!

I have to close them at the same time in order to get them to shut. I decided to keep them because I love the look and they were exactly the size I needed for the space.

Review: This is the nicest looking standalone wardrobe in the offerings from Ikea. I appreciate the space underneath and the solid, turned wood legs. This is a very heavy piece, so I had it delivered for a mere $40. I live 10 miles from Ikea and waited the 2 1/2 weeks for delivery and it was worthwhile not to have to lift the heavy boxes. Assembly took two people three hours with a power drill. The instructions are not clear enough for which holes the screws go into for the page that has many screws. The drawings are small and far away. The page showing the boards that the holes line up on is also tough to understand and perhaps numbered stickers on the boards would be helpful. Ikea could use symbols to make it simple for folks of all languages to understand which boards go where. Unfortunately we installed one of the white boards incorrectly so you can see the screw holes at the top of the wardrobe when you assemble it. These are facing outward instead of inward. Otherwise, it's all good. Be mindful that yeah, there's 60 pages of assembly, but there are a good number of those dedicated to the wall anchoring. My home does not have small children and I am not attaching this to the wall. If I had the luxury of screwing into a wall, I would have purchased an open wardrobe. Here's a nifty tip: if you have a vinyl record collection, you can stand up 12 vinyl lp's when you set the interrior shelf to the highest peg. Assembly comments: We used a cordless drill set to the lowest torque. Even when hand screwing into the white finish, the finish chipped. This was the first screw we inserted and it made me sad that the finish would chip. It was very minor, but, it was a turn-off for the very first turn of the screwdriver. Ikea could drop the price on this, that would be nice. Feels more like $300 would be reasonable given all the assembly required. I love the fact that the doors and drawer are slow-close. Ikea could do this with all of their furniture to add 'class' to the experience. I live in a studio apartment with limited closet space. This holds my long dresses very well.
