Honest reviews about 104.935.20 TILLREDA
Review title: Love this cooktop
Customer: Daniel H.
Review: I was surprised at all the negative reviews since I’ve been using it multiple times a day as my only cooktop for 3 years and it hasn’t missed a beat, which makes it six times more reliable than the highly rated name brand model I brought from Amazon at almost twice the price that didn’t make it six months. I usually don’t give perfect ratings on the principal that nothing is perfect, but the beautiful, practical design at a lower price point than the competition gets it the extra star. My only real question is why isn’t IKEA selling it any more in the US? It has a top seller badge so that’s plainly not the issue. I hope it was just a supply chain issue, and not that kitchen staff being upset about it cannibalizing sales from the built in models costing more than 10 x as much. I get it but it would be really disappointing especially for a company like IKEA that throws around high-minded progressive sounding phrases like Democratic Design on the regular.

Review title: Low quality and easily breaks
Customer: Wilson L.
Review: First one stopped working after a week. Returned and got a new one after waiting 3 months for them to come back in stock. With the second one, the fan would randomly turn on after leaving the unit plugged in (but off) for a few hours. Unit was cold to the touch but fan would be on for apparently no reason, so we just unplugged it after every use. After maybe less than ten times using the unit, it will no longer turn on. :pensive:

Review title: Stopped Working within 2 months
Customer: Ariel P.
Review: Bought this item as an alternative to a table top hot plate (inefficient and too hot) for very occasional use. Made a lot of noise but accepted the trade-off due to the risk and ambient heat of the alternative. Used it less than five times for about 15 minutes on low since anything over level 5 was too much. Heard a noise and a bit of smoke with the smell of burned electronics at the fifth plug in. The drive back to Ikea with today's gas prices makes returning this item non-returnable.

Review title: It's a zero! Don't be a sucker!!
Customer: RONDA G.
Review: This looked like a great cooktop solution to my daughter's studio apartment. However, on the third use she heard a zapping noise and it quit working. Just stick with the reputable name brands and cry once!

Review title: Loved it until it stopped working!
Customer: Joanne
Review: We loved the Tillreda. It is really the best and most efficient way to cook. We were extremely dissappointed it stopped working after just 2 months and had to return it. Still waiting for it to be back in stock and are willing to give it another try.

Review title: Great Hob for the Price! -- READ MANUAL all the way through
Customer: Emm C.
Review: We moved into an apartment that prohibits any open flame appliances; we had to say goodbye to our butane gas burner for at-home hotpot.
What a great purchase. Impressive build quality and form factor. Controls were minimal, but offered everything we needed. AND it did not cut into cooking space. Great, responsive, and even conductivity too!
A lot of other induction cooktops with worse design quality (poor, uneven conductivity, clunky controls with little cooking space) cost $89.99+
Since buying, we've done at-home hotpot dinner 4 nights in a row; we're going for a 5th hotpot dinner tonight.
Read the manual THOROUGHLY before using it. It mentions to WAIT until the display is completely off before unplugging it, otherwise you can damage it. I would have easily missed this if I didn't read the manual in its entirety.
Only feedback would be to print the manual such that a lot more attention is drawn to prevent damaging the hob. Maybe have the section in bolder / larger text?

Review title: Broke after second use
Customer: Marita
Review: Used it once to bring a kettle to boil and then used it to simmer a sauce and it suddenly quit working. Was able to return it under warranty with no issue but definitely disappointing as we were testing it out to give it as a gift to my in-laws.

Review title: A Modern Portable Stove
Customer: Mara j.
Review: I was looking for a stove that I can bring whenever I want to be without using a gas element. Then, this stove solved my problem. it was easy to carry to my camping trips, easy to adapt to any occasion (such as hotpot), and electric use (no more stinking gas smell).
