Batteries are sold separately; 2 pcs AA required.
IKEA recommends LADDA rechargeable batteries.
Built-in LED light source.
The built-in timer turns the lamp off after 15 minutes.
The soft light creates a non-glare light in the dark and means that the battery time lasts much longer.
The light source has a lifetime of approx. 25,000 hours. This corresponds to about 20 years if the lamp is on for 3 hours per day.

Review: Ikea needs to provide better instruction on how to assemble their products and also leave them out and furniture as is in the show rooms . Ifthey nail it to a wall they should inform the customer. I fixed it after looking at youtube videos . Quality is like paper . Looks its beautiful , draws are deep. Does not take up much space.
